Hard-To-Recycle-Stuff Collections
Westmoreland Cleanways sponsors collections every spring and fall for those hard to dispose and hard to recycle items that include tires, vehicle (lead acid) batteries, appliances (including freon-containing), scrap metal and electronics. Once collected, as much of the material as possible is recycled.
The fee for automotive and light truck tires is $1.75 per tire off-rim and $2.75 per tire on-rim. (Fees for tractor tires and tractor trailer tires will be higher). Freon-containing appliances have a fee of $20 for tagging and disposal, but all other items/appliances for scrap metal and vehicle batteries may be turned in free of charge. Event Schedule: The following collections are held on Saturdays and run from 8:30 am - Noon

Salandro's Refuse, Inc., Dan's Tire, The Appliance Warehouse, and eLoop llc collect the material for recycling.
