Thank you for helping keep Westmoreland County clean! We appreciate every individual and group who volunteers their time to pick up litter. To make your cleanup safer and more convenient, we provide the following supplies at no cost. These supplies are intended for use on local roads and public spaces within Westmoreland County. (If you cleanup is on a state road, please contact PennDOT for supplies.)
Items available for loan, on a first come first served basis are:
- Gloves
- Garbage Bags
- Safety Vests
- Pickers
- Road Signs
- Flags
- The Garbo Grabber Trash Bagger (holds your bag open)
To Borrow Cleanup Supplies:
- Call the office at 724-879-4020 or email us to check on bin availability and to make a reservation.
- Complete the Cleanup Supply Borrower’s Agreement prior to pick up.
- Pick up and return supplies from Westmoreland Cleanways Recycling Center, 355 Pleasant Unity Mutual Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
- Reimburse Westmoreland Cleanways for the replacement cost of any broken or lost road signs, flags, pickers and/or Garbo Grabbers.
Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling DOES NOT initiate cleanups, but we are here to assist. Besides providing cleanup supplies, we can help assess a site to be cleaned and develop a plan for both the actual cleanup and the disposal of the trash.
