Recycling Bin Loaner Program: A Green Anniversary Initiative
We have met and exceeded the goal of loaning out 250 recycling bins for the 250th anniversary. Between June of 2025 and August of 2026 we loaned out 343 bins!!!
This achievement is a testament to the care and commitment that the residents of Westmoreland County have for recycling and protecting our environment. Although we’re excited to celebrate this accomplishment, it was made possible by the countless residents who took the time to participate in the program. You borrowed the bins, collected the recyclables, returned the bins, and made this achievement possible.
Thank you for choosing to recycle. Thank you for helping protect our environment. Most of all, thank you for showing what a caring community can accomplish together!
Westmoreland Cleanways loans out recycling bins at NO CHARGE for special events such as family reunions, weddings, company picnics, and church festivals that run 1-day, a few days or a few months.
